Valar Thank you for the pictures! I do like him a lot, I love the shield and the pose, and the horn sticking out of his pocket as well. As I’m going to be waiting for a while anyway to get my Boromir I might see what the Classic Series Boromir looks like but if that doesn’t tickle my fancy then I’ll for sure be seeking out a SSW Boromir. Thank you to all you guys for clearing this up for me!
Sideshow Weta Boromir (Questions about 1/6 Boromir in General)

You did answer it perfectly, Bill.
I am pretty sure Marquette was something Sideshow used for the Polystone statues after the SSW era ended. Maybe it wasn't the official name, but I don't think it was ONLY the collectors who used the term for those. After all, Sideshow did have lines of maquettes (and comiquettes) in other licenses.
And I always think of them as 1/5 scale. Were they all the same scale? Comparing the SSW Strider with the Sideshow Strider, I am sure the latter is quite a bit bigger. Are they 1/5.5 scale?

Seriously though, the Sideshow Strider is still the only Strider I own, but it always looked perfectly in scale to me, alongside all of my SSW fellowship statues.
If the scale is indeed the teeniest bit larger, it's not noticeable. The base is certainly taller than the Weta bases though!

This pic belongs to someone here in the forum, I apologize I don't remember who. They put the SS Strider on a Weta base. To me it looks perfectly in scale with the hobbits. I don't remember the height difference between Gandalf and Aragorn though. But if I'm not mistaken, halflings are literally half the height of a standard sized human.
You also have to remember SSW hasn't, at least in some cases, done true 1/6 height. Your can see that in the case of Gandalf here (pic from wiking)

Since the thread is about Boromirs, let me just reshare a couple of pics from wiking here, and I hope he won't mind. (check them out in his Display Case thread)

This SSW Boromir was repainted by one Darren Carnall. Even from back then Weta had the sculpting done to a T (at least 90% of the time), it's just the paint apps that blocked the full potential of those pieces.
