This is fun. Okay, my top 5 Weta & Sideshow-Weta pieces from what I own...

    1/6th scale

    1. Ringwraith on Steed (Sideshow-Weta) - the pose just can't be beaten
    2. Galadhrim Archer (Sideshow-Weta)
    3. Uruk-hai swordsman (Weta)
    4. Lady Eowyn of Rohan (Weta)
    5. Isildur (Weta) - especially in combo with the High Elven Warrior (Weta)
    6. Boromir at Amon Hen (Weta) finishes just outside the top 5. I love it, but I couldn't put it above any of the others.

Actually, looking at that list of my favorite statues I realized that the main reason I love them is because of their pose.

    Environments

    1. The Argonath bookends (my first Sideshow-Weta collectibles! )
    2. Amon Hen (Sideshow-Weta)
    3. The Mines of Moria (Sideshow-Weta)
    4. Weathertop (Sideshow-Weta)
    5. The Golden Hall (Sideshow-Weta)

I heard from Jules German that he repaints some older pieces from time to time. If he shares any I'll be sure to share too. There's a great deal of detail hidden in the SSW pieces under the lackluster paint apps. They wouldn't look that far behind in the hands of a proper paint artist.

They didn't directly win those awards for sculpting miniature figures. But yes, it does weigh some.

We started our collection only a few years ago, so we were not really collecting during the old SSW days, so just gonna focus on the most recent statues (who generally look better to me personally). Staying with statues that have been released already; I suspect the new Galadriel and the new Legolas/Gimli will claim spots in the top 5 when I receive them, but can't be sure just yet ofcourse!

    1/6:
    1. Arwen & Frodo on Asfaloth
    2. Thorin on Throne
    3. Isildur
    4. Dain on Boar (don't have it personally unfortunately - not yet anyway)
    5. Mirkwood Elf & Dwarfs of the Iron Hills combo

    Environments:
    1. Rivendell

    2. Minas Tirith (don't have it unfortunately)
    3. Minas Morgul
    4. Hobbiton Mill & Bridge
    5. Bag End

    Top 5 Weta pieces

    1. Azog the Defiler on Warg
    2. Treebeard - MC
    3. Cave Troll - SSW
    4. Balrog - SSW
    5. Minas Tirith

I would put lifesize Gandalf and Gollum at the top but I kept the list to the more manageable sized collectibles.
