What an amazing display! Legolas, gimli and Aragorn look great together, the two ringwraiths with Sauron.. wow.
I’m just two months into collecting bigger statues, basically the 1:6 size. I’ve still got time. This is an exciting time for me to get into collecting because I caught the tail end of the fellowship releases last year, and I have the next two anniversary years to look forward to. I’m facing a choice of paying a premium to get older pieces, or to keep saving up for what’s around the corner.

I've kind of the same dilemma too, but will most likely wait for the new pieces. The old ones are already sold out anyway, so I'll get them eventually...

That's what I'm thinking. It seems smarter for me to wait for the new limited edition pieces and buy them on preorder, instead of going big on the old grails now, and then having to buy upcoming pieces on resale also..

Keep saving for what's around the corner. The older pieces are still going to be there if you have any money left over after the next two years.

Sideshow LOTR was released many year after SSW

3D modeling technology are popular and most people character's face are more accurate than SSW, but it is not pure status series since some cloth of 12" figure are used like mixed version between status and figure

First time I realize that the whole display is Sideshow LotR. Well apart from the SSW True Form and the five pieces in front. Did you get all of the SSW maquettes bill59 ?

I have them all as well. I was really sad that SS ended that line, it had a lot going for it.
