It is an awesome piece!

Interesting story. I search eBay everyday for LOTR poly. About a year ago I just happened to make my SS search right after someone listed a NIB Lurtz PF EX on a buy-it-now for $400. It literally had only been listed for like 2 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I ran to talk to my wife about finances and she said to go for it. That took maybe 2 or 3 minutes. By the time I got back to hit the buy-it-now button it was sold! Oh man, what disappointment was felt at that moment. Even today, thinking about it makes me a little sad.

Oh well, the hunt continues and the lesson was learned. If you want it and it's a great deal, don't hesitate!

I have tossed around picking up set #3 from time to time. It might be the only way to get Sam and Bill in my collection.

Yes, they are quite expensive when you add the three together, Ithildin .

There is always evelbay for set #1 .

Been going to this whole thread just now. Fantastic collection and pictures, Bill. I really enjoyed it. Some of them took me back to when I had some of the pieces, like the overseer, myself.
