Well, there's a great topic. I agree on your pick for TTT; either that pose (maybe a couple seconds before on that scene, when he has not yet fully revealed himself and has a more imposing pose) or when he saves Théoden - although that pose is indeed a bit more dynamic.

For ROTK, also either the one you said or this moment where he goes out to save Gondor's riders from the Nazgûl. I get chills every time I hear that female solo voice with the staff lighting up (perhaps a light-up function for this statue is a possibility? Weta's on a lighting roll lately)

Sorry if I was unclear.
As I said, I would buy Gandalf the White in a heartbeat, what I meant is rather different: while I see why they should do the White, I think that they could put him at the bottom of the list and give us tue four hobbits or someone else from the fellowship before releasing a second Gandalf.

In other words, it is just a matter of time, nothing else
Can't wait for the next LOTR classic character!

He and his friend had killed a pack of Saurons, while roleplaying
Me and my friend felt SO superior, we KNEW there characters couldn't handle a pack of Saurons.

Of course they have! Weta were the sculptors in the Sideshow/Weta days, Sideshow were just the distributor. So Gandalf on Shadowfax as seen above was by Weta, as was the 1/6 stand alone statue and also a 1/4 bust which has a great likeness.

Oh I see! I had a few chances to buy this statue for a decent price, but passed all of them because I didn’t know where this Gandalf belonged and it just looked awkward. Thanks for your info! And great display idea!

You're right, I was thinking in the 'modern' days of Weta as sculptor and distributor (so, something you can search on their current website). I really like the 1/4 bust, but the other two not that much. Gandalf on Shadowfax is nice and well sculpted but I would prefer the pose I suggested earlier

Shadowfax is really well done, but yes it's a shame Gandalf is looking down so you can't see his face too well. I would probably stick with the original as any new version will cost hundreds, but the older version isn't worth as much so wouldn't go too far in paying for a new one. But saying that, if they do a new one i will of course want it

Who else would like to see this guy released in polystone next year? I was thinking today of potential TT releases and while I want to see the three hunters at Helms Deep, and GTW I think this would also make for a great statue. Whether it's him just running, or if Weta wanted to do a dynamic piece and have him leaping into the culvert. With Wetas new ordering system this seems like just the character they could do next year that they wouldn't normally touch.

Definitely hoping for new Orthanc / Isengard and Edoras / Golden Hall pieces for TTT, since I don't own any of the previous ones. If they are in roughly the same scale as BEoTH that would be amazing.

If we don't see Denethor for the ROTK, he will never be made. This is most probably the #1 statue that I want to add to my collection right now. His absence is a glaring hole that needs to be filled. It's absolutely scandalous that Denethor hasn't been immortalized in polystone. I look at all of the other generic pieces that have been done and just shake my head.

A freaking Orc Pitmaster that we see for 3 seconds in the film.

Weta will not make the RotK 20th anniversary Master's Collection statue one of Denathor. It's not going happen, I'd eat Gandalfs hat if it does.
