Hopes for TTT & ROTK Anniversaries?

I agree there are lots of characters not done- Gondor soldier, Shagrat, Gorbag ( slightly upright not dirty nappy wadding position thanks) Shelob
etc
But as I missed on an Aragorn at Amon Hen like most and have Legolas and Gimli I d like to see an Aragorn batting Lurtz or maybe having closure with Boromir. But yeah probably dreaming here. Maybe a couple of Uruks facing off with Legos and Gimli?

I think that depiction of Merry and Pippin matches the exact moment in the scene which all of the other statues in the Amon Hen line are from, especially Boromir!

We mustn't forget that Weta still wants to sell statues etc. after the anniversary of the films, so there will certainly be one or the other desired character released.

I would want them as a duo aswell. Same reason why I jumped at Gimli and Legolas at Amon Hen. Their friendship was such an important part of their characters; it was fitting that they shared a base. Same goes for Merry and Pippin. If they get a statue I hope a lot of people will pre order so that Weta gets the message that hobbits can actually sell well. I still want them as miniatures too. And I want a Sam/Frodo one in 1/6. So yeah, let’s show them Hobbits sell!

Don't you worry, you can be asure that I will be one of the first ones to pre-order a Merry/Pippin statue (but only as 1:6 scale). Gimli and Legolas at Amon Hen is really a beauty and I'm very proud to have those two in my collection.

It's something that is always haunting the back of my mind. I still remember when Weta said goodbye and packed it in back in 2006.

But the days of statues being for sale for a long time are over, every limited edition is automatically sold out. Seems business goes very well for Weta, no reason to stop in that sense.

Gee whiz, don't you scare the crap out of me now, Stig. That would be just awful. But since the anniversary of RotK is next year, there is also the anniversary of the Desolation of Smaug and even if the LOTR anniversarys are over and done then, we still have the anniversary of Battle of the five Armies 2024 to look at or not? So this gives me hope, that Weta is just continuing doing what they do best... create awesome, astonishing and beautiful statues, environments and dioramas.

Naaaaaa, there is still the 25th Anniversary to look forward to Stig. I would think that the LOTR line is still the best seller of all the licences the hold.

I hope they'll continue for a long time! That said; I'm grateful that we already have so many great statues. Since we started to collect we managed to collect most of our favorite characters and then some. There are only like 3 possible statues that we're still waiting for. Merry/Pippin. A Classic series Thranduil. Re-release of Minas Tirith. Of course there are more statues we're anxious for, but those 3 are our remaining must haves.

They did mention to me on Facebook that there will be more announcements this year, so I still expect 2/3 new statues. Hopefully Last few announcements haven't really been interesting for me personally (they look very cool though!).

I am not sure what I am hoping for now. Now that we know the price of Elendil, I'm fearing whats to come. Leaflock is a simple pass for me, but who knows what they will release.

We are going to get two more environments I'd guess, and maybe another premium and CS piece? We haven't really gotten many TT pieces, the MC, GtW CS, Aragorn CS, Gollum and Smeagol Mini's and Leaflock.
