Hopes for TTT & ROTK Anniversaries?

I think I remember someone from Weta confirming another run of the Minas Tirith environment. Not sure if it was here on the forum or in a e-mail but I'm almost positive I've seen it. So yeah, I do expect to see it available again next year, hopefully only a bit more expensive than it was before.

It would be the exact same as the previous ones, they would use the same molds. Or if they thought the demand was great enough they might make new molds. But either way it would be the same.

i want bigger ! even if they do the same size it will be a good choice, for sure 1 of the best enviroments from weta.

As far as I know David Falconer himself mentioned that Weta would do a re-release of Minas Tirith. I might be wrong but I think that he's made a comment like this here on the forum.

I think he strongly hinted towards a re-release, but never actually confirmed it. I am not getting my hopes up just yet. Although I am quiet optimistic about it

Last I heard was that they were seriously thinking about it, but were not able to make any promises. I wouldn't be too sure just yet, to avoid disappointment. If they were to re-release Minas Tirith I'd order it in a heartbeat.

Sorry, if I gave you guys false informations. My memory must be weaken as I'm getting old. But of course, if they were to re-release Minas Tirith it would be an instant buy for me also, since I've been waiting on that piece sooooooooo long.

When I sent a email to Weta asking them if there was enough interest registered to warrant a re release, Weta CS said that they thought it was a a definite go, but there were just trying to figure out the ideal time to re-release it. And said that the RotK Anniversary would be a good time. But until Daniel himself confirms it we should perhaps not consider it a sure thing.

I really want a Black Gates Aragorn or an “updated” Elessar statue. Either one would be great to put with a Gondor/Numenor display I want to create.

Agreed, since it's unlikely that we will see a helms deep Aragorn this year, having a Aragorn from the black gates next year would be nice, when he charges the gates after saying for Frodo would be perfect.

Either one of them would be an instant buy for me. And I agree with TMcLim that we probably won't get an Aragorn at Helms Deep this year which, at least in my eyes, is a shame since this is the 20th anniversary of TTT and mostly all of the movie is about Rohan.

I really don't understand why Weta wouldn't do Aragorn at HD. I mean there is a small chance but not likely at this point. To me I would have been a no brainer. He has never been portrayed in 1:6 in polystone at HD. So even long time collectors who own many Aragorns would be tempted to get it because it depicts the character in a completely new costume and moment from the films. But what does Weta do? They produce another Aragorn in basically his fellowship gear, because we don't already own like 3 versions of that. Quite the missed opportunity imo by Weta.
