I was dreaming of this one. I remember that I posted exactly this picture few months (years ?) ago and said that I really wished this statue.

However, I'm not really convinced with the outcome and more precisely with arwen's face. This likeness seems to be off so I would appreciate other pictures from the SDCC to judge it.

Well, it's gonna be hard to pass, maybe it will depend of treebeard statue
Don’t give up on this one. It’s really well done.

Alright, I told myself, NO MORE EXPENSIVE STATUES!! But this one looks REALLY good! I may have to do the payment plan. I agree with some about the likeness being off on the straight on angle. Her face looks too narrow. Hopefully it is the lighting. From the side it looks dead on! Frodo looks great and absolutely love the horse! Question: does it look like her left arm will need to be attached? Is that a gap at her left shoulder I see or is that just the seam from her clothing?

Thanks my friend, I'll trust you and give it no more thought.

Lighting this piece is going to be a lot of fun. With the translucent clothing, all kind of lighting angles come into play and will give lot of unique results.

          No problem.

You should be able to have some fun with this one. Between the clothes and the base. The stuff they can do now is really cool.

So here are over the next few posts the shots I felt were worth keeping of this statue. These things being in the cubes is always hard to work with because of how the light bounces around. For the most part I'm pleased with how things went.

It's a beauty and the pics came out wonderfully.

If I can't afford Treebeard I may have to console myself with this or Eomer, or both.

Shame it isn't 2019 yet. Can't wait to have her displayed!

"Good things come to those who wait!" But no matter how many times I say that my patience never grows. Luckily there are so many other things coming and happening before then

Never thought I would spend this much money on a statue. Been thinking about this all weekend; no I do not want to spend this much money, no I do not want to miss out on this one... So in conclusion, I just hit the button and pre-ordered!

She really is. I look forward to being to photograph her at home and be able to get a little closer than I was able to during SDCC. Thanks! I wasn’t as sold with what I had until I really could edit them.

Thats where I’m at right now. Treebeard may be our if reach so at least I can get these two statues.

Reads like something I think we’ve all done before.

Don’t know about you guys, but the thing that always gets me with this setup is the hairy feet. At quick glance, Arwen seems like she is going au naturale. I had the same problem with the weta art print.

Just a really glaring juxtapositioning; Fair Elven maiden upper half and then you see those feet..

Those feet belong to Frodo though, Arwen is wearing riding boots I think

I'll give you a close 3rd behind Stigs runner up.

Anyway I have the copyright since I said it a few weeks back.
