Not to be a pest but I don’t really like that pose for Sauron … I know it’s the moment he’s trying to grab isildur but personally this pose looks better .. and that way more armor shows on his hands too

I thought so too, I had many ideas that would have made it more intricate but it lost the spirit of the other medallions.

That's the pose I was originally thinking of using, but while browsing different Sauron sculptures for reference I realized that it was a very common pose. It is a great pose, and your mock up idea would definitely work very well, but I wanted to capture a different Sauron moment. So

Yes definitely about prime 1 helm .. not sure if Kyle can perfect the helm while keeping the P1 pose .. not sure if he’s talented enough

Should begin work on this tomorrow! And just putting this out there, it may be a little smaller than 10" (maybe 9" or something around there), we will see.

Yeah, in all the work I do, both these projects and my other projects, I always go for reference from the source first. Looking at other works can help sometimes, but people interpret things differently, and I would rather that my own interpretations were not based off of someone else's interpretation!

Hey everyone, quick update, sculpting has started on the medallion. I am currently transferring the image onto the wax circle and hope to have that finished tomorrow. I will be sure to share images as the sculpt really gets going, currently it just looks like the worlds most annoying connect the dots puzzle.

That means a lot, we are all so passionate here, and it really creates a lot of pressure to get things right. Not that I do always get things right.

I am envious of sculptors back in the 90's, their sculpts only had to be VHS quality!
